Today I clicked on a Huffington Post poll that asked “Who’s hotter: Megan Fox or Carly Smithson?” I don’t know who either of these people are, but I’m super into democracy and stuff and thought my voice should be heard. Megan Fox, I learned, was the love interest in Transformers and FHM magazine’s sexiest woman of the year. I only made it through about 30 minutes of Transformers, but as I was watching it I was thinking, “there is a woman who has been perfectly manufactured to someday win the title of FHM magazine’s sexiest woman of the year.” Carly Smithson, on the other hand, is an American Idol loser who does not strike me as all that attractive. But maybe she looks better when she’s singing “I Will Always Love You” or whatever.

After looking at the pictures and determining that I would not be casting my vote today, I scrolled down to see what the people had to say about this controversial battle. The top comment, which I’m pretty sure was left in all earnestness, reads:

I think the most beautiful woman in the world was a rape victim in the Congo that, after some time of healing and counseling, smiled again.

That may very well be true. But is she the sexiest?
